Women with curly hair often complain that fluffy hair looks messy and is difficult to control. Curly hair is often drier than straight hair and requires more care and attention. Shaping hair, waxes and gels are often used on curly hair, especially when the humidity is high and fluffy hair becomes completely unruly.

In the grocery store, you will find an inexpensive and easy-to-use material that will tame even the most unruly bog house: gelatin, or gelatin.

Gelatin cares for hair – what is the treatment based on?

Gelatin nourishes the hair, making it shiny.

Gelatin keeps your hair healthy when you mix it with your regular conditioner.

If you are using a 300 ml conditioner bottle, you should add gelatin directly to the bottle as follows:

  • 1 tablespoon gelatin powder, about 7 g
  • 5 tablespoons warm water

Manufacturing

  • Combine water and powder in a small saucepan, allow the gelatin to melt completely.
  • Heat the water on the stove for a minute so that it heats up a little but does not boil.
  • Allow the liquid to cool and pour into the conditioner bottle. Shake well so that the gelatin is completely mixed with the conditioner.

Gelatin mask

Aloe vera for hair care.

You can also make a care mask from gelatin, which is especially suitable for thin and brittle hair.

Aloe vera is also needed in this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 200 ml of water
  • 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel

Manufacturing

  • Melt the gelatin in water in the same way as in the previous recipe and then add the alo gel.
  • Store the mask in the refrigerator and apply to wet hair. Allow to soak for 10 minutes. Treatment can be performed once a week. It repairs and strengthens the hair, and gives it thickness.

How does gelatin care for hair?

Gelatin is full of protein that penetrates deep into the hair and gives fullness, shine and support. Gelatin nourishes the hair by smoothing the surface of the hair and preventing hair fluff.

To get the best results from using gelatin, it is advisable to perform the treatment twice a week. Also, be sure to avoid using a hair dryer and other styling tools, as hot irons and hot air will dry out and damage your hair.

Other tips

Gelatin is a great addition to hair care and maintenance, but also remember these important cornerstones of hair care:

  • Protect your hair from the sun’s rays during the brightest hours of the day.  If you spend time on the beach or otherwise in direct sunlight, it is advisable to protect your hair with a hat or scarf. UV radiation can dry and lighten hair.
  • Always prefer natural shampoos and hair products, and do not use paraffin-containing substances on your hair.
  • Do not wash your hair with hot water as this will dry your hair. Prefer warm water and perform the last rinse with cold water: you will immediately notice how shiny your hair becomes.
  • Brush your hair using a wide brush. Brush your hair gently, not tearing and shaking.
  • Allow the hair to dry naturally, or use the cool setting of the hair dryer.

Strengthen the hair from the inside

To keep your hair beautiful from year to year, it is good to remember that your hair should also be cared for internally. What you put in your mouth largely determines the condition of your skin and hair. If your hair is dry and curly, you may be suffering from some form of nutrient deficiency and you should add the following foods to your diet:

Beer yeast

Brewer's yeast strengthens hair.

Brewer’s yeast is a great dietary supplement that strengthens hair, nails and skin. At the same time, it helps remove chemicals from the scalp and prevent hair loss. Brewer’s yeast improves the composition of the hair, and makes them bushy and beautiful.

Wheat germ

This dietary supplement is full of important trace elements and can be enjoyed along with brewer’s yeast. Mix wheat germ and brewer’s yeast with a glass of fresh juice and enjoy.

Flaxseed oil

Flaxseed oil contains important fatty acids that prevent dryness of the hair and skin. Enjoy cold-pressed oil crude in smoothies, porridges or juice drinks, for example.

Nuts

You get good fatty acids from nuts.

Nuts are one of the best ways to increase the amount of fatty acids in your diet. Enjoy a few handfuls of raw or roasted nuts a day, but avoid salted, oil-fried and otherwise processed nuts.

Avocado

Avocado is full of healthy fat and protein. In addition, avocados provide vitamins, minerals and fiber. Eat half an avocado a day, and you’ll notice how it has a positive effect on the condition of your hair and skin.
